Ann is a writer trained in architecture. After graduating from the Rice School of Architecture in Houston, Texas, she helped establish a web-based home plan delivery startup. In 2010, Ann moved to Venice, California, where she worked as the marketing coordinator for sculptor Cliff Garten. From there, she joined boutique public relations firm Design Agency Co as the marketing associate

Her past clients include Blu Homes, Marcia Butler, and through Design Agency Co: All Things Artisanal, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles, BCCI, Brick, Design East of La Brea (de LaB), DISC Interiors, FORM4 Architecture, Handful of Salt, the American Craft Council, Studio Schicketanz, the Los Angeles Conservancy, the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, Noon Design Studio, Peter Tolkin Architecture, Taalman Koch Architecture, Urban Chalet, and Walker Warner Architects.
